  • On the services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click to select Hide all Microsoft services check box and then click “Disable all”.

  • On the Services option, click to select the “Hide all” Microsoft check box, and click on “Disable all”.

Note:  This method allows Microsoft Services to run. It includes Event logging, Networking, Plug and Play and other services. You may permanently delete all restore points if you disable these services. If you want to use the System restore utility then do not delete all restore points.

Step 2: After checking the issues, put the system back to the normal mode

For Windows 8 and 8.1

  • Click on start and then select “Search” option.
  • In the search box, type “msconfig” and then click on msconfig.
  • After then click the “Normal Startup” option on the general tab.
  • Click the services tab and clear the check box next to “Hide all Microsoft” services and then click on “Enable all”.
  • In the Startup tab, click on “Open Task Manager”

  • Click Start and in the Search box, type “msconfig.exe” and press “Enter”
  • Click the “Normal Startup” option on the general tab and then click “OK”

  • Click on “Start” and in the “Search box” type “regedit” and press “Enter”.
